Add Booking Type

Utilize the ‘Add Booking Type’ feature to seamlessly incorporate new bookings into the system.

  • Log in to the Venue Owner Dashboard.
  • Navigate to the Main Navigation Menu.
  • Select “Account Settings.”
  • Choose “Booking Types” from the options.
  • Access or edit the “Add Booking Type” section within the “Booking Types” settings.

In the “Name” field, enter a descriptive title for your booking type. Choose something clear that helps you identify the type and length of booking. For example, you can use names like “Golf – 1 Hour”, “Laser Tag – 1 Hour”, or simply the length of the different sessions if you have a single type venue.

Enter the duration of your booking type in the Hours and Minutes fields. For example, if you want a one-hour booking slot, enter “1” in Hours and “0” in Minutes. For a 90-minute session, enter “1” in Hours and “30” in Minutes.

Click the color box to open the palette and select a color for your booking type. This color will help you quickly identify different types of bookings on your calendar – for example, blue for golf simulator lanes and green for party rooms.

Select your booking type category. Choose “Hourly” for time-based bookings, “Party” for event packages, or “Rental” for equipment and space rentals.

“Hourly” booking types are based on specific time slots. You can set durations like 30 minutes, 1 hour, 1.5 hours, and so on. The number of guests allowed will depend on the capacity limit you set for each booking type.

“Party” bookings are designed for events and celebrations. When you select this type, you can specify how many lanes are included in the party package. These bookings require a party room.

“Rental” is for equipment or space rentals. When you choose this type, you can set the number of lanes available for the booking type.

Set your booking type as “Active” or “Inactive” and click “Submit” to save your changes.

When you select “Custom Duration,” you will not need to set hours and minutes, and the “Types” option will not be available. This option allows staff to make backend bookings with flexible start and end times.
