Add Discount
Upon accessing the discount setup form, several fields can be configured:
Name
This field is for internal reference and doesn’t appear externally.
Code
The unique identifier used to apply the discount during the booking.
Discount Type
Choose between ‘Fixed Amount’ or ‘Percentage’ for the discount.
Set the discount amount or percentage as per the selected type. When choosing between ‘Fixed Amount’ or ‘Percentage’ for a discount, ‘Fixed Amount’ offers a specific dollar value deduction (like $20 off), while ‘Percentage’ subtracts a portion of the total cost (such as 20% off).

Usage
Usage Settings provides comprehensive control over when and how a discount code can be utilized.
Anytime Using This Discount Code
This setting allows you to set a start and expiry date, creating a period during which the discount code remains valid. Customers can use the code anytime within this specified timeframe.
Fixed Dates
- Here, you can designate specific calendar dates when the discount code is applicable. This could be for holidays, special occasions, or any predetermined dates of your choosing.
Fixed Days
- By defining a date range and selecting specific weekdays, you can restrict the discount code’s validity to particular days within a specified time frame. For instance, the code might be valid only on weekends or weekdays during a certain period.
Time Restrictions
All Day
If the discount code should be applicable throughout the entire day, you can simply check the “All Day” option. This means the discount is valid for any booking made at any time during the specified date or day range.
Specific Time Frames
Alternatively, if you want to target specific hours or time periods during the day, you can uncheck the “All Day” box. This action will reveal fields where you can set the start and end times for the discount’s applicability.
Frequency of Code Usage
To manage the frequency of code usage, you have following options.
Unlimited
Enabling the “Limited Frequency” option allows you to set a cap on how many times a particular discount code can be utilized. For instance, if you check this box and set the frequency to 5, it means the code can only be used a maximum of 5 times.
Limited Use
Conversely, leaving this option unchecked means there’s no limit on how many times the discount code can be used. Customers can apply the code for every eligible transaction without any usage restriction.
Discount Status
Switch between ‘Active’ and ‘Inactive’ to control the code’s functionality.
Examples Scenarios
Let’s explore various scenarios to understand how discount codes can be effectively set up:
Scenario 1: Fixed Amount Discount
Consider a promotional campaign offering a fixed amount discount of $20 on bookings.
- Name: PromotionalOffer1
- Code: PROMO20
- Discount Type: Fixed Amount ($20)
- Usage: Anytime Usage
- Validity: From January 1st to January 31st, 2024
Customers using the code “PROMO20” during this period will receive a $20 discount on their booking.
Scenario 2: Percentage Discount
Let’s imagine a seasonal discount offering 15% off the total booking amount.
- Name: SeasonalDiscount
- Code: SEASON15
- Discount Type: Percentage (15%)
- Usage: Fixed Dates
- Specific Dates: December 25th, 2024, and January 1st, 2025
Customers applying the code “SEASON15” for bookings made on the specified dates will receive a 15% discount on their total booking.
Scenario 3: Limited Time Discount
Imagine a limited-time offer where a discount code is valid only during specific hours.
- Name: FlashSale
- Code: FLASH50
- Discount Type: Percentage (50%)
- Usage: Anytime Usage
- Validity: From 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM every Monday and Wednesday
Customers using the code “FLASH50” during the specified time frame on Mondays and Wednesdays will avail themselves of a 50% discount.
Scenario 4: Frequency Limited Discount
Consider a scenario where a discount code has a usage limit.
- Name: ExclusiveOffer
- Code: EXCLUSIVE10
- Discount Type: Fixed Amount ($10)
- Usage: Anytime Usage
- Validity: Unlimited
- Frequency: Limited to 5 uses
Using the code “EXCLUSIVE10” will provide a $10 discount on bookings, but it can only be used five times.
Usage of Discount Code
Once the discount code is added, it becomes visible in the list of managed discount codes. To access more detailed information, please navigate to the Manage Account.
Customers have the option to add their personalized discount codes in their account settings on the site. When making a booking, customers can select lanes, time slots, and the number of people (should be generic text). Upon reaching the checkout stage, they can utilize their discount by clicking on “Have a Promo Code?” and entering the discount code in the provided field. Upon clicking apply, if the code is valid, the corresponding discount amount or percentage is applied, and the total amount after the discount is prominently displayed.
If the entered code is invalid, an error message stating “No coupon found” is displayed to the customer, indicating that the code could not be applied.
